Chui Ip Lee was trained in the firm in 1990 and remained with the firm until 2002 when she joined a global firm and practiced in the Dispute Resolution Practice Group there for 10 years. She rejoined the firm in 2012 and is now a consultant of the firm.

Practice Focus


Chui Ip’s practice focuses on insurance litigation, probate litigation and commercial litigation. She handles a wide range of personal injury litigation, including employees’ compensation claims and common law claims. She also has extensive experience in commercial litigation, contentious and non-contentious probate matters and family proceedings including divorce, nullity and judicial separation proceedings.

Acted for a range of leading Hong Kong and international Insurance Companies in employees’ compensation claims and common law negligence claims, including numerous multi-million claims involving serious industrial incidents / accidents occurred in construction sites.

Advised a leading home appliances manufacturing company in a negligence claim involving cross-boarder personal injury at work.

Advised a leading Hong Kong Accountants firm in an employment related cross-boarder fatal injury claim.

Acted for a global pharmaceutical company defending a negligence claim arising out of employment.

Acted as panel solicitor in Solicitor’s Professional Negligence claims.

Acted as the prosecution solicitor in barrister disciplinary proceedings.

Acted for a land developer against the Government in a dispute over the interpretation of certain land grant documents involving multi-billion Hong Kong dollars.
  Acted for a land developer defending a multi-million claim by individual owners for compensation on conveyancing disputes.

Acted for a foreign prefectural Government defending a multi-million commercial claim.

Acted for a famous indigenous Chinese family in the New Territories in the contentious Probate action involving a billion estate.

Acted for the Chairman of a then listed company in a divorce litigation.
