Jonathan Lui is a partner of the firm with major focus on insurance and general litigation work. A graduate of the University of Hong Kong, Jonathan was admitted as a solicitor in Hong Kong in 1998 and was appointed a Civil Celebrant of Marriages in 2006.
Practice Focus
Jonathan has extensive experience in insurance litigation including policy interpretation and defence of claims involving contractors’ all risks, public liability, employees’ compensation, motor claims and professional indemnity, with special interest in personal injuries and medical negligence claims. He practises in other areas of general litigation including landlord and tenant disputes, contractual disputes, matrimonial disputes, etc. Jonathan also has experience in advising and dealing with defamation cases.

Acting for insurance companies in civil claims and providing advice on policy and coverage issues.
Represented New World First Bus Services Limited and its insurer in a much publicized bus accident in 2007 at Tseung Kwan O resulting in numerous fatalities and personal injuries.
Acted for publicly listed securities companies in civil disputes including seeking recovery from their customers and agents.
Represented developers and management companies on tenancy and building management issues.
Acting for the Hospital Authority and its medical staff in medical negligence claims.
